As a Chiropractor, my mantra is alignment, alignment, alignment. Your body needs to be in proper alignment so that your neuro-musculo-skeletal and organ system can function optimally. There’s a proper posture in standing, a posture in sitting, a proper posture in exercising…and a proper posture in pooping!
In many parts of Asia, people traditionally use the toilet in a squatting position. However, Western-style toilets are mounted at sitting height. This type of toilet, though considered more “convenient and civilized”, puts the person at a 90 degree sitting angle, which actually puts a strain in the pubo-rectalis muscle during elimination.

OOOOOMMMMMMMMM……….
Though meditation has been around for thousands of years, it’s only now that meditation is becoming mainstream. Even the conservative medical community is singing the praises of meditation. Meditation is a simple and free tool that can enhance your life in many ways. If you’ve considered meditation but decided against it, now is the time to reconsider. Your beliefs color your perception of the world and your experiences. Many beliefs are true only because you believe them to be. If your beliefs aren’t congruent with excelling in life and receiving abundance, it’s very unlikely you’ll ever live the life you deserve. When your results are falling short of your desires, your beliefs are the logical place to make a change.
Many of the beliefs you hold most strongly are inaccurate. Most of our fundamental beliefs are formed at a young age. We often learn these beliefs from sources that aren’t operating at the expert level. It’s easy to see why we have beliefs that hold us back from experiencing all the abundance we deserve. “Walking the Labyrinth clears the mind and gives insight into the spiritual journey. It urges action. It calms people in the throes of life transitions. It helps them see their lives in the context of a path, a pilgrimage. They realize that they are not human beings in a spiritual path, but spiritual beings on a human path." -- Dr. Lauren Artress Have you ever walked a labyrinth? You may be thinking, “What does that even mean, walked a labyrinth? I don’t even know what a labyrinth is…I’m not even sure how to pronounce it.” Alright, calm down. Let me pose another question. Are you the kind of person whose brain chatters non-stop, and you avoid meditation because you can’t sit still, and yet you’re curious if meditation could help calm your mind? Familiar yet? If so, walking the labyrinth may be for you. Labyrinth is an ancient, sacred, meditative, transformational tool. It is a powerful tool that can assist you in reconnection with the Divine inside of you. No, it is not a maze. And no, I'm not talking about the 1980's movie with David Bowie, either! It's been a long time coming. After 8 years in the practice, I finally put together my own website highlighting only the things I love to do, explaining them in my own words, reflecting my own beliefs and competence as a practitioner/healer. No more hiding in the expensive generic "professional yet cold" chiropractic website. No more judging myself in trying hard to compare myself and compete with my colleagues.
After 8 years of practice, I think I'm finally coming into my own. Unafraid to show my style, my voice, my personality, my heart, and the things that really matter to me as a doctor and as a person...without worrying "what would people think of me if I said this, or if I did that, or if I didn't do it this way or that?" Wow. My shoes finally fit me...because now I'm wearing my own. :) "Out beyond ideas of wrong-doing and right-doing, there is a Field.
I will meet you there.” -- Rumi If you had a magic wand, would you use it? Of course you would! Why would you not?! I know I would. In fact, I use it everyday. :) Yes, I have a magic wand. I was up all night after my first demonstration about the zero point field energy. I was so energized and inspired. AmWell (formerly known as Amega Global) has done something phenomenal, something life changing. To me, wanding was some kind of a child’s play, just like how I see everything else in my life. I hold the wand, I twirl it around, and viola, the magic begins. But to some people, my “chronic-pain” patients, wanding experience is nothing short of a miracle. To them, it really is life-altering, empowering, and most of all it gave them something that nobody else could offer: hope…and a new beginning. My Magical Mandala TreeCanvas size: 48" x 60"
Inspired in May 2011 Sprouted in October 2011 Fully Blossomed in April 2012 Revealed to the world in May 2012 It took me one full year to get this painting done -- from the time I got the inspiration to the time I got the courage to put it on display. I have to say, every single step of this creation was nothing short of mystical. There were things that happened during the creative process that I could not have planned, and only the mandalas' relentless desire to be born in a very specific way--their way-- that brought forward each magical, almost ceremonial, events. Did you know that when you suffer from chronic pain, your brain can actually shrink in size by as much as 11%??
Not only that your brain get smaller at a faster rate, chronic pain also alters the neurochemistry and the sensory function of the central nervous system. Some studies even suggest that chronic pain patients will develop clinical syndromes of poor attention span, cognitive abilities, and possibly dementia. That's not cool. So, if you're one of those people who have learned to ignore the pain because it's been there for so long...do not ignore it any longer!! This is a no brainer...no pun intended! Cranial chiropractic and acupuncture can help get rid of your pain naturally! Call us...we can help. Tapping, also known as Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT),is one of my favorite healing modalities. It is a combination of Acupressure and modern Psychology. I really love this combination, coz you see, I’m an acupuncturist, and I also hold a Masters in Spiritual Psychology…so it’s only natural that I love and recognize the amazing benefits of this technique!
It’s called Tapping because literally, you are going to be tapping on some acupuncture points on the face and upper chest as you say out loud the things that are bothering you…your upsets, your stresses, your negative thoughts and beliefs, phobias, fears and others. This is the technique I used that allowed me to release my 14 year-long severe cat allergy and my fear of water. At age 37, I finally learned how to swim, and I can play with cats again!!! |
